Listed below are the pools and times where coached O*H*I*O Masters swimming workouts are happening.

BUY A PUNCH PASS

Cleveland East Side (Orange) and Cleveland West Side (Lakewood) operate on a punch pass system. Swimmers may pre-purchase swim passes to present at the pool. You MUST be a member of United States Masters Swimming to participate in these workouts. The following options are available for purchase:

  • 12 or 25 swim punch pass
    • 12- and 25-swim passes do not expire.
  • Quarterly Unlimited Passes are purchased each quarter and expire at the end of the quarter:
    • September 1 – November 30
    • December 1 – February 28/29
    • March 1 – May 31
    • June 1 – August 31
  • Visiting USMS members may purchase a 4-swim visitor pass. (Must be a USMS member.)

CLEVELAND (East Side)

Orange USMS Members Only

  • Facility: Orange High School
  • Location: 32000 Chagrin Blvd, Pepper Pike, Ohio 44124
  • Schedule:
    • Practice times change from week to week. Please contact Coach Finefrock for the current times. The weekly schedule is also posted on the OHIO Masters Facebook page.
  • Note: Note practice times may be adjusted depending on aquatic programming scheduling changes during the Fall 1 session. The pool is closed any day that school is not in session and for holidays and facility access during holiday breaks is subject to change.
  • Pool temperature will be 78 degrees during high school season.

Mandel Jewish Community Center

  • Location: 26001 S Woodland Rd, Beachwood, OH 44122 
  • Schedule:
    • Tuesdays 6:30 p.m.–7:45 p.m. 
    • Saturdays 9:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m.
  • Fees: No drop in. Must sign up and pay/register through the JCC website. Sign up is on a month to month basis.

Warren Harding Aquatics Team (WHAT) Masters Training Group

  • Location: Warren G. Harding High School Pool, 860 Elm Rd NE Warren, OH 44483
  • Schedule: Practices offered Mon-Wed-Fri from 5:30-6:30 a.m.
  • WHAT welcomes O*H*I*O Masters swimmers at their training location. The current session runs from April 8, 2024 until August 1, 2024. Cost for the spring/summer group is $255. The drop-in fee is $10.00.

CLEVELAND (West Side)

Lakewood (Foster Pool and LHS) USMS Members Only

  • Dates:
    • Lakewood High School Pool: Begins September 4, 2024
    • Foster Pool: Begins June, 2025
  • Locations:
    • Lakewood High School: 1595 Robinwood Ave., Lakewood, OH 44107. Parking for all pool programs is available south of the high school near the pool entrance, off of Robinwood Ave. or Bunts Ave.

    • LHS Pool: Sunday 8:00–9:30 a.m. Coach Judi (No practice January 19 and 26)

    • LHS Pool: Tuesday 6:00–7:15 a.m. Coach Bob 
    • LHS Pool: Wednesday 7:30–8:30 p.m. Coach Bob

  • Lanes: Coaches will move you to the proper A/B/C sendoff lane.
  • Other Details:
    • Please arrive early and stay late to help with lane lines.
  • Inclement Weather: In the event of thunder and lightning, both pools close for a minimum of 1/2 hour. For other weather closures, contact Lakewood Recreation Dept.

Swim Passes

Westlake Rec Center

  • Facility: Westlake Rec Center
  • Location: 28955 Hilliard Blvd, Westlake, OH 44145
  • Schedule: Sundays 9:00–10:00 a.m., Practices resume October 1, 2024.
  • Cost: $6 drop in for Rec Center members, $8 for non-Rec Center members. Pay at desk and get a card for the workout to give to the coach.
  • Coach on Deck: Judi Norton will provide workouts, conditioning, stroke drills, and instruction to all who wish to participate.

  • This workout group is organized through Westlake Rec Center. O*H*I*O Masters does not set the fees or hire the coach but helps promote the practices as a place to swim. The practices may not be covered by USMS insurance.

These workout groups are organized through Cleveland State University Recreation Dept. O*H*I*O Masters does not set the fees or hire the coaches, but greatly appreciates the opportunity to swim at this amazing facility.

  • Note: Pool is set for 33 yards.
  • Cool Info: You will be swimming where Ohio Masters began in 1974!
  • Schedule:
    • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 7:00–8:00 a.m.
  • Price: $2 drop in fee.
  • Coach on Deck: These are informal workouts. Currently, no coach on deck.
